A: Let's start the meeting, ….. ? B: Yes, everyone is here now, ….. ?

Întrebarea disjunctivă (tag question) are de obicei polaritate opusă propoziției. Câteva cazuri speciale: după „I am” se folosește „aren't I?” („I'm late, aren't I?”); după „Let's” se folosește „shall we?” („Let's go, shall we?”); după everyone, somebody, nobody se reia pronumele „they”. „Nobody” face propoziția negativă, deci întrebarea de după el este afirmativă: „Nobody saw us, did they?”, dar „Everybody was there, weren't they?”
